Holiday in the Lueneburg Heath

The Hotel Acht Linden is the ideal place for holiday in the Lueneburg Heath.

The Lueneburg Heath Nature Park can be quickly reached by foot or by bike from the Hotel Acht Linden. Discover the largest contiguous heathland area in Central Europe, the first nature reserve in Germany. With a little luck you will meet the shepherd and his herd of Heidschnucken. Or simply enjoy the wide view from the Wilseder Berg, at 162 m the highest elevation in northern Germany. When the weather is clear, you can even see the Hanseatic city of Hamburg. In the center of the area, in the cozy small village of Wilsede, you can take a break. Visit the Heidemuseum or refresh yourself in one of the localities.

The Hanseatic and salt city of Lueneburg, with its 1000-year history, is always worth a visit. From the Hotel Acht Linden you can reach Lueneburg with the historic old town in half an hour. Choose a parking space on the outskirts of the city and conquer Lueneburg on foot.

The Hanseatic City of Hamburg is also a worthwhile destination. With the train from Buchholz, Winsen or Harburg you can easily get to the city centre or to the port with the Speicherstadt or the Elbphilharmonie.
